Tattoo Studio FAQs

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Phresh Ink is located at shop 10/20 Siganto Drive, Helensvale Gold Coast QLD. We are directly across the highway from Movie world inside the KFC food centre.

HOW MUCH IS A TATTOO?

Tattoos range in price depending on the size and amount of detail your design requires. We charge an hourly rate of $160 - $200 depending on the artist you have selected. If your tattoo is under the hourly rate the artist will charge you accordingly. Our shop Minimum price for any tattoo starts from $100. We do also half day rates from $600 and full day rates from $1000

DO YOU QUOTE FOR FULL SLEEVE TATTOOS?

Unfortunately we do not quote full sleeve tattoos. Tattoos require a lot of planning and as our counter staff are unsure as to how much detail and design preparation this would require to complete we do suggest a consultation with your artist to determine the costs involved in competing your sleeve tattoo.

WILL MY TATTOO HURT?

Tattoos are not pain free, and some parts of the body are slightly more uncomfortable then others. You will slight a scratching and sunburn feeling during and immediately after your tattoo.

I JUST WANT A DESIGN DRAWN UP BEFORE I BOOK MY TATTOO IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Phresh Ink is a custom tattoo studio therefore we do encourage that clients trust their artist with the design preparation. We always recommended 1 initial consult to discuss your design ideas with the artist and a second consultation 1 - 2 weeks prior to your tattoo appointment to confirm the design and also to make any changes to the final design. Sometimes artists will converse with you via email and even ask you to come into the shop to view the design prior to your appointment but this all depends on the artist you have selected and how their design process works. Once you have booked in with your artist a staff member will advise you of the design process for that artist.

HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?

We have multiple ways that you can get in contact with us to make a booking either through Email, Facebook, Instagram, Website, walk in or Telephone. All of our contact information is located on our contact us tab on our website. We suggest attaching some images when trying to make a booking so that we can put you with the suitable artist for your designs. We will recommend a consultation with the artist prior to making a booking. These consultations are performed at 9.30am and 9.45am 7 days a weeks and depending on the artists schedule. Phresh Ink is a busy tattoo studio and on some occasions we are able to take in walk in tattoo appointments, however we do recommend that you call the studio prior to avoid disappointment.

HOW FAR DO I NEED TO BOOK MY TATTOO IN ADVANCE?

We have 12 artists at Phresh Ink and they all have different wait times. Larger black and grey and colour pieces are usually about 6-8weeks wait time and small tattoos vary depending on design from 2 - 4 weeks.

WILL I NEED A DEPOSIT FOR MY TATTOO APPOINTMENT?

At Phresh Ink we do require a deposit for ALL tattoo bookings. The deposit amount will vary from $50  to 50% of your booking. The amount will be confirmed after your consultation and upon booking your tattoo appointment. The deposit amount will be deducted off the cost of your tattoo session on the day of your appointment. If your tattoo requires multiple sittings, you will be required to put down a deposit for each day that is being held.

IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT WILL I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK?

Phresh Ink does have a strict cancellation policy. You must call on 0404369251, 72 hours (3 days) prior to your appointment should you wish to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Inside of those 72 hours you will forfeit the whole deposit. You must also let your artist know NO LATER than 2 weeks before your appointment if you wish to change the design of your tattoo so that the artist has enough time to resource any new elements to draw up the artwork.

MY SCABBING IS THAT NORMAL?

Scabbing on a fresh tattoo is completely normal. You can experience a thin layer of peeling to a thick layer of scabbing all depending on how much ink was put into your tattoo. Please make sure you are taking care of your new tattoo correctly to avoid an infection to the area. Please see our aftercare tab on the website if you are unsure on how to take care of your new tattoo.
